Mamas Write: An Oakland Writing Retreat for Busy Moms

Mamas Write: An Oakland Writing Retreat for Busy Moms

Having children can make it difficult to get away for a monthlong writing retreat or even a weeklong one. Mamas Write is tailor-made for mothers—short, local, flexible, inexpensive, and during childcare hours. At this weekly retreat, you will have the opportunity to work on your own writing and to connect with other women about writing, creativity, and motherhood. This is a space where serious writers are invited to work on their projects, and where moms without much experience can give writing a try in a nonjudgmental, supportive environment. Each session will consist of structured prompts, dedicated writing time, and optional sharing and feedback. The four sessions will be facilitated by mama writers Minna Dubin, creator of the #MomLists project, and writing coach Rebecca Sang. Space is limited to 10 participants, so please register early to hold your spot. For information and registration, contact Minna Dubin at minnadubin@gmail.com.

When: Tuesdays in April (5th, 12th, 19th, 26th) from 9:30am-11:30am

Cost: Total for all four retreats is $25-$35 (sliding scale). Cash, check, and Paypal accepted
